The darkness ever deepens. As you stumble your way through the shadows of the earth and stone, the tunnel widens into a small room, circular in shape, orbiting around a well. The sides come up to your waist, and the chamber smells of slime and mildew. Deep below, you can hear the rumbling of rushing water, an underground aqueduct spanning a vast distance with an access right here in the labyrinth. You wonder for a moment where it came from, and where it leads.
The flow seems to span from right to left, while the hallways only extend behind and in front of you. To follow the water would mean to risk it all, to dive into the waters below and brave the cold depths.
Do you risk the inky depths to potentially no end?
Or do you carry on as before?
