In the big 2025 and beyond, built-in browsers like the ones found on game consoles are constantly falling out of date. This isn't a new concept, something like the PSP Internet Browser was outdated from the moment it released. However, even as the Internet marches on and technology advances further and further, some of these devices still find footholds in the modern webscape to cling on.

To that extent, welcome to the Nintendo DSi Browser Support Page! Catalogued below are websites that have been verified by me personally, or have been submitted with verification, to be working on the Nintendo DSi Browser as of the date listed!

• FrogFind - frogfind.com - Verified 12-16-2025
  FrogFind is a search engine specifically made for vintage computers! You can access it on modern computers at frogfind.de, and is available in German, English, Ukranian, and Russian. It's powered by several search engines, and displays the results in plain-text HTML for easy web browsing on older hardware. Both sites work flawlessly on the DSi, an ideal alternative to the built-in Google and Yahoo! search engines the system comes with.


• The Old Net - theoldnet.com - Verified 12-16-2025
  "The Old Net is an attempt to restore vintage web browsing on vintage computers. It uses the Internet Archive: Wayback Machine API and a proxy that strips out any incompatible javascript and stitches together as many links as it can" (from their homepage). The Lite version at https://theoldnet.com/lite is ideal for the DSi due to RAM limitations, though the system is able to load most of the main page, and even sign the guestbook! They also have links and resources to other similar retro computing Internet projects and sites, which I have yet to verify, but are certainly on my radar!

  This one was a surprise to see: the Nintendo DSi Browser can visit, log in, and read AO3 fanfiction right from the Net! It's far from perfect, but it's also functional, which is more than I expect from most websites I attempt to visit on the DSi! It can't even load the page you're looking at right now, but it can read fanfiction. Truly the power of the Internet. ♥

  While I haven't tested it personally, the DS and DSi are both mentioned on the home page for Discross, a third-party legacy browser client for Discord! As of now it only works on servers that have their bot installed, so I haven't tested it yet, but I'll update this entry when I get some hands-on experience with it! For now, I wanted to mention it here so that people can know about it, since it does mention the DS and DSi on it's own compatibility list.
