The Hero's path is known, now you must follow.

As you stumble your way through the doorway of the earth and stone, you pass from the beach into a short hallway, then swiftly into another reception chamber. Circular walls encircle you in a wide berth, around a cylindrical center pillar as high as your stomach. Standing opposite the pillar, facing you and meeting your eyes, is an elder person dressed in purple robes. Their long grey hair falls down to their waist, spilling from under the wide brim of their pointed purple hat. A canvas bag hangs at their side, a strap across their body and over their shoulder. They smile kindly as you approach the pillar, standing opposite them.

"Welcome, O weary Hero. You have done well to find me here."

You are no Hero.

"Not quite yet, but I believe in your abilities. By finding me here, I believe that you are meant to be the Hero of legend. You will be the one to save us from the power of the all-consuming shadow."

You do not know what to do.

"It's quite simple, O weary Hero. You must continue deeper into the labyrinth. You must finish your journey.
To aid you on your way, I offer a great power. I have with me a relic that allows me to augment your power, in exchange for sacrificing all you have. You may find that this will prove useful to you on your way. You do not need to accept this gift, but I extend it to you freely. Do what you will, O Hero."

The wizard offers a gift.

Your journey may be nearing it's end.

What do you do?
