A labyrinth is quite different than a maze. Its purpose is not to find the end, it is to make you lost. The end of a labyrinth is at the center, but you are not meant to escape. There are methods to find your way, to navigate, to delay the inevitable End by a minute, an hour, a day, but always to keep stumbling recklessly through the darkness, bracing against the walls as the chambers twist and turn around you, a mysterious wind urging you deeper and deeper into the darkness. One entrance, one exit, infinitely circling around and around, never to leave, only to find darkness and death.
A shiver goes down your spine.
